Vendémiaire An XIII

House history

The family estate, operated as a company with Sophie Ducceschi's sister, covers 4.30 hectares and has been managed by Sophie Ducceschi since 2006, following a career at the Ministry of Agriculture. The estate includes 24 plots in Meurville and on the Mer-sur-Mont plateau. Much of the work is done manually, with some small plots plowed by horse as part of a sustainable viticulture approach. The name "Vendémiaire An XIII" pays tribute to family pioneers: Vendémiaire was then the month of the harvest, and their first son was born in Meurville in Year XIII. The champagne brand was created in 2006 and has since joined the association of Champagnes de Vignerons.
