Champagne Vély Prodhomme
Rue de Chamery 5, 51500 Écueil, France
House history
The house presents a family know-how in respecting the vine and its wines, with a family passion spanning 5 generations. It indicates a dedication to vine cultivation since 1913. After the war, in 1946, the grandparents developed the Vély Kirch champagne and several cuvées. The great-grandparents then initiated the first bottlings in the commune, launching the commercialization of Champagne. Since 1973, the family has continued this work under the brand Champagne Vély Prodhomme.
Tasting experience
The estate indicates that its 4 hectares of vines are spread around the village, with 1 ha of Chardonnay, 2.20 ha of Pinot Noir, and 80 ares of Pinot Meunier. It highlights cuvées crafted in 1er Cru, notably Brut tradition, Brut Améthyste, Keshi, Brut rosé, Demi sec, Brut millésime Marquise des Anges, and Nuit Blanche. The site also specifies that visits are preferably by appointment.
