House history
The Domaine Vazart-Coquart has been producing champagnes since 1954 in Chouilly, Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs. The story begins in the early 1950s, when Jacques Vazart convinced his father Louis and his brother René, then growers and owners of a few vineyards, to start producing champagne. The first bottles were produced in 1954. Three generations then followed: Louis, Jacques, and then Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre joined his father in 1991, officially took over the estate in 1995, and continued its development with his wife Caroline and their team. The brand was born from the union of the names Louis Vazart and Marie Coquart, giving "Vazart-Coquart".
