Champagne house
Champagne Sendron Destouches
Rue de la Blatrerie 12, 51210 Le Breuil, France
House history
The house presents itself as a Champagne house located on the Breuil terroir, favorable to the cultivation of pinot grape varieties, notably meunier and noir. The winemakers state they have been "in the soul for generations" and explain that their daily motivation is to share their know-how as Récoltant Manipulant, from working the land to the production of their Champagne wines.
Tasting experience
The house invites you to "discover, visit, taste" all day, "without schedules, at your leisure". The cuvées are described with pairings and tasting moments: a non-dosed cuvée is enjoyed as an aperitif and with trout with almonds; another, fresh with a lively bubble, is perfect for aperitifs; a cuvée with notes of mirabelle and dry biscuits accompanies snacks and desserts; a more mature cuvée is suitable for foie gras, fish, cooked shellfish, or as an aperitif with gougères with comté and parmesan; the rosé is recommended from the aperitif as well as with meats, roasted poultry, and fruit desserts; the 2015 Vintage is served throughout the meal; the Anniversary Cuvée is ideal for aperitifs and festive tables.
