House history

The Patrick Boivin house was founded in 1978 in Épernay. Originally, it was driven by the couple Marie-Madeleine and Patrick: she is the granddaughter of a winemaker from Cumières, he is originally from Paris. They laid the first stones of the company and developed it. Today, they are gradually passing the reins to their daughters, Céline and Baptistine. In 2022, they took on a new challenge with the construction of their own production facility, making the house autonomous in the production of its champagnes.

Tasting experience

The house offers cuvées divided into three collections: ICONE, REFLETS DE NOS TERROIRS, and AU FIL DU TEMPS, with blends, single-varietal, single-village, and exceptional vintages, as well as “LE CLOS 667”. A blanc de blancs cuvée is presented as ideal with a seafood platter during a festive meal. The 2014 vintage is described as pairing with sea flavors, such as poached halibut fillet, just-seared scallops, and at the end of the meal with cheeses like Saint-Félicien or aged parmesan. Another elegant and round champagne is indicated as ideal to share as an aperitif around a platter of hard cheeses.
