House history
The house presents itself as a family house. The site indicates that in 1980, Gilles and Régis left the village cooperative to become Récoltant-Manipulant. To produce their champagne, they built underground cellars on the old 18th-century family farm.
Tasting experience
The Mathelin family welcomes both amateurs and novices all year round in their family home for a tasting in a friendly spirit. The cellar visit allows you to discover the stages of champagne production, from harvesting to bottle labeling, in a space where more than 250,000 bottles age, followed by a tasting. Visits and tastings are recommended at the end of the morning. Open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm, as well as on Saturday by appointment. The site also specifies that the tasting/visit is free with the purchase of 6 bottles for 2 people.
