Champagne house
Champagne Lacuisse Frères
Route de Damery 13, 51500 Sermiers, France
House history
The estate was established by Julien Lacuisse and his sons and has developed over the years. The site indicates that traces of vines on these lands date back to the year 850, but the Lacuisse family has only been cultivating their vineyard since the early 20th century. The vineyard now covers 17 hectares.
Tasting experience
The house welcomes visitors to its cellar along the Champagne wine route, every day from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday, and on weekends by appointment. It can accommodate groups during the week or on weekends with tastings and tours of the vineyards and the cellar. The program includes an audiovisual presentation in four languages, a discovery of the vineyard, grape varieties, seasonal work, and sustainable viticulture, a tour of the cellar and stages such as riddling, disgorging, and dosage, as well as a guided tasting of the cuvées. The site also mentions the possibility of tasting the clear wines of the three grape varieties. Visiting the cooperative is possible by reservation only.
