Champagne JM Massonnot describes itself as a generational family house. Its story begins with Aimé, presented as the origin of the family legacy. In the 1930s, he created and marketed his own Champagne brand. His legacy continued with Michel, Jean-Marie’s father, who worked with his wife Michèle to ensure the estate’s continuity and taught Jean-Marie to care for nature. Jean-Marie has preserved some of Michel’s massal selections from the 1950s across the estate’s 27 vineyard parcels. Today, Jean-Marie Massonnot is presented as continuing the family line, combining inherited know-how with modern winegrowing methods, while the next generation—Camille, Valentin and Victor—wishes to carry this philosophy forward.
