House history

Jean-Michel Pelletier, based in Passy-Grigny in the Marne, has cultivated the vine since inheriting the family vineyard in 1984. The estate presents itself as the fourth generation of winegrowers continuing vine-growing traditions with respect for nature.

Tasting experience

The site describes the vineyard as located in Passy-Grigny, Saint-Gemme and Verneuil in the terroir of the Vallée de la Marne Rive Droite, where clay-limestone and marly soils favor Pinot Meunier. It says the champagnes show delicate aromas, floral and citrus notes, sometimes mineral, with a seductive bouquet, fruitiness and suppleness; another cuvée is described with red fruit aromas and marked structure. The house page also gives cuvée notes: a Meunier-based cuvée with white fruit notes of fresh apple and pear for aperitifs; Cœur de Cuvée blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier with mineral notes, white flowers, citrus and exotic nuances; a vintage cuvée with vanilla, dried fig and raisin aromas while keeping freshness; a pure Meunier expressing the terroir with length and freshness; and another blend with citrus, baskets of fruit and acacia honey suited to aperitifs or white fish.
