Champagne house
Champagne Guy Remi
Rue Valentine Régnier 13, 51700 Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, France
House history
The house presents the personal story of a young winemaker born in 1986 in the Paris region, from a family of winemakers in the Marne, who discovered the vine at his grandparents' in Baslieux sous Châtillon, then studied viticulture before joining the family business in July 2005 with his aunt Nathalie and his grandfather Guy. The family has been cultivating vines for five generations. At the end of the 19th century, the grapes were sold to the great Champagne houses. In 1951, Marthe and René Remi decided to create their own champagne under the brand "René Remi et fils". The Champagne house Guy Remi was then founded by Guy Remi in 1962. The site indicates that he continuously expanded and modernized the business. Today, Nathalie Remi and Jérémy Cheval run the estate as owners.
Tasting experience
The site invites you to discover the house in Baslieux sous Châtillon, in the Marne Valley, and describes the work of the estate throughout the year, from the vine to the cellar. It indicates that the bottles age from 3 to 10 years in the cellar and offers to take visitors "from Champagne to our cellars" to share the secrets of the house. Visits are by appointment from Monday to Saturday, with closure on Sunday. The estate also highlights "a more natural champagne".
