Champagne Germar Breton
Rue Grande Rue 19, 10200 Colombé-la-Fosse, France
House history
The family has been settled in Champagne for several generations, charmed by the beauty of the Côte des Bar. They have been cultivating vineyards in the Aube since the 1950s, then extended this passion to the wine sector to produce champagne. Champagne Germar Breton was born from this passion and the union of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties. In 2003, the house invested in a press, marking the beginning of its wine production, and has been marketing its champagne since 2005. The name "Champagne Germar Breton" pays tribute to the daughters Gersande and Marcelline ("Ger" and "Mar") as well as the family name Breton. The house also emphasizes its choice of blends mainly based on Chardonnay to bring finesse and elegance to its cuvées.
