Champagne Emmanuel Dravigny
Rue du Moulin Grignon 1, 51390 Vrigny, France
House history
The 2-hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, in Vrigny, a premier cru wine-growing village. Emmanuel Dravigny perpetuates the family winemaking tradition there and has always practiced sustainable viticulture. The vineyard is dominated by the Meunier grape variety, which represents 80 to 100% of the Emmanuel Dravigny cuvées, with vines over 40 years old. The estate highlights the ancient and Champagne character of this grape variety, as well as the care taken in its cultivation to preserve the natural and heritage value of the family property.
Tasting experience
The estate offers three cuvées in its tasting pack. The Carminat cuvée, a brut rosé champagne, is described as fruity and light, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a fruity dessert like a raspberry cake. The Perfect Balance cuvée, a brut champagne, is presented as a champagne for all occasions, to be consumed from aperitif to the end of the evening. The Meunier Spirit cuvée, a brut nature blanc de noirs champagne, can be served at a dinner aperitif, with a hard cheese like an aged Comté, or as a dessert with a tarte Tatin.
