Rue Saint-Vincent 10, 51500 Sacy, France

House history

The history of the house has been linked to the vine for several generations in Sacy, the family cradle. The site indicates that in the 16th century, their winemaking ancestors were already working the vines on the slopes of Sacy, with grapes intended for the clergy to produce lightly colored grey wines. In the 17th century, these wines reached royal courts, and champagne was recognized as the wine of coronations during the accession of Louis XIV in 1654. In the early 1950s, the brands Damien Dézautez and Dumez Lemoine were created by their respective parents; Dumez Lemoine is still marketed on the estate. Later, the union of the two families led to the creation of the Damien Dumez brand. The house specifies having taken over the family estate while respecting traditions to produce and market its champagne.
