Champagne Bertrand-Lapie
Grande Rue de Coulmier 69, 51240 La Chaussée-sur-Marne, France
House history
The Champagne Bertrand-Lapie house was founded in 1991 in La Chaussée-sur-Marne. It is named after Gérard Bertrand and Marie-Josèphe Lapie, described as the parents of the person who is now taking over the business, both committed to viticulture and attached to the Champagne vineyard. From the beginning, the house is presented as an independent family structure based on respect for the terroir, the work of the vine, and traditional Champagne practices. After a career in care, the successor explains having chosen to continue the family adventure with a logic of transmission, continuity, constant quality, and a responsible approach. The cuvées are mainly made from Chardonnay and come from the slopes of Vitryat, in the commune of Bassu, a sector highlighted for the finesse and freshness of its wines.
Tasting experience
Visits are by appointment. The house highlights champagnes crafted with precision in the heart of Champagne, respecting the soil, the grape, and time. The cuvées are described as designed to express the identity of the grape varieties and the character of the years, with work in the vineyard and production choices aimed at authentic champagnes, faithful to their origin and personality. Direct sales are also mentioned.
