House history
Champagne André JACQUART is presented as a family house located in the Côte des Blancs. Its range of Blanc de Blancs aims to represent the terroirs of Vertus and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The site also indicates that respect for the environment has guided the management of the vineyard since the creation of the estate, in a sustainable viticulture approach that led to HVE 3 certification in 2019.
Tasting experience
The site describes a range of Extra Brut champagnes, with a low sugar dosage to preserve the uniqueness of the Chardonnays. After pressing, the juice is placed in Burgundy oak barrels of 3 to 5 wines, from the terroirs of Meursault and Puligny Montrachet. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in barrels, without malolactic fermentation. The range is exclusively Blanc de Blancs, with the exception of the Rosé de Saignée, and the champagnes are defined by freshness, elegance, and minerality. The wines age on lees for a minimum of 4 years, and up to 8 years for vintages, which brings structure and personality.
